Uses for this blog.
This blog is being used to post work that me and pat work on. I'll also post any news or publications about our work. My postings may include summaries of the philosophical nature of the group, what we'd like to represent.
I'd like to see the end of legitmacy as we know it. In my field, I'd like to see the end of television and films. What gets made because who is making it and behind it. Technology is destroying the music, tv, and film business of old. They're are plenty of jobs being filled by mindless drooling idiots in those industries. The older types can't multitask and don't have much skill. I know that MTV's producers are learning final cut. It's smart because soon we'll be living in a world where the editor/producer is dominate. Producers only doing a quarter of the effort with about 15 different jobs at a time, depending on what you're producing. They're producing way too much basically putting little energy into each project. Producers should grasp some tech skills or be prepared to lose their jobs in the next few years. The TV networks are going to end. I'd like to see the end of legitmacy in politics and having a direct democracy so that midgets and grandmas can be world leaders. It'd be pretty frickin awesome.
It's a great time for the artist and musican to earn all their money instead of depending on oppurtinistic cash addicts, people acting as if they're in the know. Oil and the old energy powers are feeling their end soon, same goes for the large media corporations. The individual can now create whatever they want. Dependency has always been a weakness. If you can't do it yourself then you are screwed. I have freedom. I can create whatever the hell I want, which ever way I want, figuring out my own structure and experimenting on my own work. Any education frowns upon that because you cant get a credit out of it, legitimacy in the form of a paper diploma. Credit is nothing compared to individual experience. The only true characteristic lacking in my generation is experience. The only way getting anywhere is through self education and realization. The only thing I learned through mainstream public schooling and 9 to 5 job is that people are empty. Watching TV, talking about TV, talking about the weather. No real self exploration, no breakthroughs. Just another day where nothing happened. The gift of thought and action washed away by distraction and a closed mind. Expand your horizons and go places you dont want to go.
We're living in a time where money isn't needed to make great things, giving more oppurtunity to artists. All you need is time. People can invest little and gain a lot. Talent and passion should be what is most valued. I'd like to discuss further on artist's ownership rights, the insider-artist's view of the outsider-artist, vice versa, the class system, and why humanity will end.
Legitimacy is completely absurd, turned upside down, and wrong.
